Laubscher, Sr. holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Juris Doctor degrees from the George Washington University, Washington, D. C. After initially obtaining engineering experience with an electrical public utility company and as a systems engineer on a Navy guided missile program, he has practiced patent, trademark and copyright law in the Metropolitan Washington, D. C., area for over forty years. One of his specialties is the representation of U. S. and foreign corporations and firms in obtaining U. S. patent protection on their inventions, including the patentability search and opinion, preparing, filing and prosecuting original patent applications, and obtaining corresponding foreign patent protection under the Patent Cooperation Treaty, European Patent and foreign national patent laws. Similarly, with trademarks he counsels clients regarding the registrability of marks and the preparation, filing and prosecution of the U. S. and foreign trademark applications and registrations. He has extensive experience in counseling clients on matters of validity and infringement. His second language is German.   Larry is a member of the Patent Sections of the Bars of the Commonwealth of Virginia and District of Columbia, and the American Bar Association.
